What injectables are

Injectables are medical products placed under the skin with a fine needle. Three services fall under this category:

  • Neurotoxin injections use a purified protein to relax chosen facial muscles for a while. They are most often used to soften expression lines on the forehead, between the brows and around the eyes. The effect usually shows over several days and fades over a few months.
  • Dermal fillers are soft gels that add volume or soften folds. Many are made of hyaluronic acid, a substance the body makes naturally. They generally last from several months to a year or longer, depending on the product and the area.
  • Lip filler is a dermal filler placed in or around the lips to add shape or fullness. Swelling is common for the first several days.

None of these results are permanent, and no particular result is promised. Results vary.

Who provides injectables at Valen

Valen Wellness does not provide, sell or supervise any medical service. Injectables here are provided by an independently owned medical practice led by a licensed clinician, working under its own license and insurance. That practice sets its own prices, keeps its own records and runs its own booking, so you book and pay in the practice’s own system.

Valen never asks for your health information. Share your medical history only with the practice, in private, during your evaluation.

What to expect at a first visit

Every first visit starts with a medical evaluation. A licensed provider reviews your health history, medications and goals, explains what the treatment can and cannot do, and talks through risks and aftercare before asking for your consent. If the provider decides a treatment is not right for you, they will tell you.

Bruising, swelling, redness and tenderness at injection sites are common and usually fade within days to a couple of weeks. Rare but serious problems can happen, which is why a medical evaluation, a trained provider and a clear plan for follow-up matter.

Who should wait or ask first

Mainstream medical guidance advises people who are pregnant or breastfeeding, people with certain neuromuscular conditions, and anyone with an active skin infection in the area to avoid injectables. Other health conditions and some medications can also matter. If you are unsure, ask your own clinician before you book.
